School District retirement in the State of Idaho is with the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI). Employees contribute 6.23% of their gross payroll into PERSI and the employer contributes 10.39% of the employee's gross payroll into PERSI. Click on the PERSI link for more information.
The life insurance benefit is $20,000 through Regence Life. Additional life insurance can be purchased through Regence as well.
Medical insurance is through Blue Cross of Idaho. Employees may choose between a Blue Cross Blue Value Plan or a Preferred Providers Option (PPO).
Vision is provided through Vision Service Plan (VSP).
Dental insurance is provided by Delta Dental.
AFLAC administers the cafeteria plan for our District. The cafeteria plan (FLEX) allow you to use pre-tax dollars to pay un-reimbursed medical and dependent day care expenses through a payroll deduction and reimbursement schedule. Cancer, Life, Accident and Disability Plans can also be purchased through AFLAC.
If you choose to participate in a 403(B) or a 457 plan-Tax Sheltered Annuities, these will be deducted from your payroll.
